About

I spent 8 years in Manila, Philippines working in international development as a research economist using econometric modeling to identify causal relationships that are important for data-driven policies and strategies. Being there combined my love of travel, photography, and using data to develop policy insights that could create social impact. While I've traveled to around 60 countries, I still feel that there is so much more that needs to be understood to help better reach some of the poorest populations. I came back to the US to refocus my efforts in developing skills to build scalable data-driven digital products that could have an impact. When I'm not thinking of the next set of data to scrape that can be turned into key policy insights I enjoy getting out to do a bit of hiking and backpacking.
